Brighton Beach - (UK)

A hot summers day in 2012 - the seafront of Brighton fills up

The population of the south east of England descends on the promenade of Brighton and Hove. Heading for the West Pier, I was met by a Beatles tribute band with an audience as large as a full on concert, basketball matches, beach volleyball, fairground rides, paddling pools, market stalls and hoards of people sucking up the sunshine and supping on an ice-cold beer. Amongst all this was a small group of street dancers.

sunshine and beats

can't wait to be back in the vibe :)

GRAFFITI

I have always loved the Graffiti'd walls around Brisbane, but found I was spoilt for choice in Brighton. Here are some of the ones I found on my little search around the city, plus a few other images as I found myself as always drawn to the seafront. I have been so busy catching up with friends and family, plus with the weather being so dire, so I haven't really had chance to get out and about with my camera.
I have two family portrait sessions booked for this week so my withdrawals will be quashed by friday. :)

All its done is rain in the last week, not just rain though, more like a monsoon. It hasn't bothered me but seems to have upset the natives who are worrying that this rain will last their whole summer. This morning it seemed a bit of a gamble to venture out with the camera, but I was lucky enough to be able to grab a few hours. The rain hasn't dampened the spirits of the hoards of tourists that flock to this seaside city every year. They bring an infectious buzz of excitement as the voices of different lands mix in the air. They are here to experience the multi-cultural cosmopolitan town - anything goes !!

Brighton is glorious under the sun ....

Enjoy
